At Greeniche we stand with the black community
and support racial equality for all.
We are saddened and heartbroken by the current events transpiring in our neighbour, America. We all have a social responsibility to create, encourage and bring change. Together, we can determine our future- a future without racism, oppression, violence or injustice towards other races or cultures.
After the recent death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, America has highlighted the need to end police brutality and injustice. Since Floyd’s death, protests have been organized all around the world. Thousands of individuals around the world have joined the movement, from the United States to Canada, Denmark, Italy and Brazil.
What can we do?
The first step is acknowledging that there is a problem. We must listen and understand that systematic racism is still present in aspects of today’s culture. Even when evidence of racism may not be present in your own life experience. We must understand the perspectives and experiences of others are uniquely different from our own.
Right now we are in the middle of a social and political revolution. We encourage the Greeniche community to take a stand in a peaceful, yet powerful way. Reading a book, donating, or listening to a podcast about diversity and race are all ways to influence a movement towards positivity and change.
Here at Greeniche, we will not sit back and be silent. People are our passion.
Life is about the people you meet, the connections you make and the journeys you have along the way. Without cultural diversity, we would not have the vibrant beautifully enriched life that we experience every day.
Change for all happens when we are open and willing to challenge ourselves and grow our beliefs. When we open our hearts and our minds, and are willing to grow as one, change happens.
